Behind the Scenes: Hugo Boss Nuit
As promised, here is my ‘behind the scenes diary’ from the recent Hugo Boss’s fragrance, ‘Nuit’ photo shoot for Glamour magazine.
We shot this in the rooftop suite of London’s Park Plaza Hotel, as we needed the best city views we could get and wow, we got them! The Houses of Parliament and The London Eye in one corner of my eye, The Shard and the rest of the city in the other. It was freezing out on the terrace but with each strike of Big Ben we were getting happier and more excited about our progress and the results.
Where: London
When: September 2012

It’s snack time! Blueberry & almond smoothie
This super drink is going to board a train to Yorkshire with me this morning. There’s a long day ahead, so the perfect snacking is essential.
What’s in it?
Half a cup of organic blueberries
1 cup of almond milk-unsweetened *
1 teaspoon of the Green Superfood Powder (‘Green Genius’)
Blend it all together and you’ll get a powerful drink that is high in antioxidants. Enjoy!
The Little Black Jacket
What I love the most about Karl Lagerfeld & Carine Roitfeld’s exhibition, is how the prints both beautifully and confidently represent people’s personalities, at least in most cases! I’m not implying that I see Anja Rubik as a Geisha who has a fetish for Queen Elizabeth II.
Anna Wintour’s portrait says it all, it seems to describe her personality exactly, the way she wants the world to see her. Milla Jovovich’s ‘skeleton’ is sexy, animal, a little bit off in a way but ultimately as beautiful as the Chanel flower that sits on top of it. Sarah Jessica Parker looks so full of life, beauty and energy. Joan Smalls represents sexiness in a very classy way and she wears the exact little black jacket that I want! One of my favourites was Laetitia Casta, as it seemed to tell a whole story, in my head she was a mourning widow with lots of secrets, the portrait was quite dramatic, I hardly noticed the jacket.
Check it out for yourselves, these were my favourites:
Inspiration No.28 Scosha
This is one of my favorite recent buys “Live Love Laugh” by Scosha.
This Brooklyn based brand makes all their beautiful jewelry right there in the store. Friendship bracelets, earrings, rings, necklaces, you name it. You can spend hours in this tiny shop so beware, and if you ask they’ll show you around their work studio.
Love this place: Scosha, 64 Grand St (between Wythe and Kent Ave), Brooklyn, NYC
EK for Marciano
Today a collection designed by Elin Kling for Guess Marciano launches in stores worldwide. Here are my favorite pieces (the oversized mustard sweater is a winner), I think she’s done an amazing job!

Let me introduce you to: ‘Terrence The Terrible’!
Happy Halloween everyone!
Okay, after some serious pumpkin carving you’ve ended up with tons of pulp, and if you haven’t got enough all over you already, here’s a little recipe for a great rejuvenating facial mask, so as not to simply waste it:
Blend half a cup of that sticky pumpkin pulp, which is rich in antioxidants, add 1 egg (as a binder), add 1-2 teaspoons of almond milk, this is rich in omega fatty acids, then 2 teaspoons of anti-inflammatory manuka honey. Mix well and leave on for about 15 min (or as long as you can as it’s quite runny).
It will also scare the hell out of any ‘trick or treating’ kids!
